Alcedo believes it's important that everyone can exercise in a safe environment. Fortunately, no incidents have occurred yet. The club has had a VCP since the fall of 2022. A confidential advisor (CPO) is the first point of contact within a sports club for anyone with a question about or experiencing inappropriate behavior. The CPO serves as the first point of contact for members (athletes, parents of athletes, spectators, staff, volunteers, and board members) with a complaint or question. They offer a listening ear, provide advice, and refer people to appropriate support. They also advise and encourage the club or association to take preventative measures.
