From Friday the 18th until Sunday the 20th of November, the first Alcedo membersweekend took place! With a great number of people we have coloured Tilburg orange.
The first night already started off great with a Michelin worthy meal made by our activity commission. The rest of the night we spent watching speed skating and a little tour through the woods. Of course we couldn’t stay up late because the next day the Braga Sprintcup took place, and some medals needed to be won by our members!
After a royal breakfast we’ve travelled to the Ireen Wüst rink to get familiar with the ice. Soon after the 500m started for our ladies Esther, Deborah, Mercede and Claudia. Also our men Chiel, Pim, Patrick and Jamie represented Alcedo at the sprint. For us it didn’t take long, but after the 1000m it was obvious, our two talents Deborah and Esther conquered a spot on stage with a 1st and 3rd place!
With of course a great ending of the weekend, we had a great night filled with drinking games and laughter. The next morning, feeling tired and some a bit hungover, we packed our bags and drove back to our beautiful Rotterdam.
Thanks to the efforts of our commission, we’ve all enjoyed a great first membersweekend!
